Questions can begin a conversation. Petitions can carry that conversation into the institutions that shape public life.
ShameProof uses petitions to challenge policies, technologies, and cultural practices that treat the human body as inherently shameful, sexual, dangerous, or unfit for ordinary representation. Each petition focuses on a specific problem and asks the people or organizations with the power to address it to take clear, practical action.
A petition is not the whole movement, and a signature is not the end of the work. Petitions can help people discover an issue, give supporters a shared statement, demonstrate public concern, support direct outreach, and create a practical reason to begin conversations in communities.
They can also become useful tools for ShameProof action. A petition can be shared at a discussion salon, introduced during a community swim, included in outreach to organizations, or placed on a table where people can stop, ask questions, and learn more.
As additional ShameProof petitions are developed, they will be added to this page.

Stop Treating the Human Body as Unsafe
Generative AI is increasingly shaping the images, ideas, and cultural possibilities available to the public. Yet many AI systems still struggle to distinguish ordinary human anatomy from sexualized, exploitative, or abusive content.
Artists, educators, historians, health advocates, body-acceptance organizations, and ordinary users may find lawful, nonsexual requests blocked simply because a human body is visible. At the same time, legitimate safety concerns involving coercion, sexualization, exploitation, privacy, identity misuse, and the protection of children require careful and uncompromising safeguards.
These are not contradictory goals.
The petition asks major AI companies to create more accurate moderation systems—systems that evaluate conduct, context, consent, age, capacity, framing, identity use, and actual harm rather than treating anatomy itself as the violation.
The human body is not a behavior.
Anatomy is not an action.
Take Action
Read and sign the petition on Change.org.
After signing, please share it with people who care about art, education, health, child protection, technology, body dignity, or responsible artificial intelligence. A petition becomes more useful when it moves beyond individual agreement and starts conversations.
You can also use the petition as a reason to organize a ShameProof conversation, host an informational table, discuss the issue at a salon or swim, or invite a local organization to examine how technology is shaping the way human bodies are represented.

We don't fight a multi-billion-dollar comparison machine with wishful thinking. We fight it with infrastructure, open-access resources, and relentless, independent voice.
The article you just read represents our deep commitment to tearing down the silence that leaves people vulnerable. But keeping this work alive, maintaining our platforms, and distributing free tools like The Action Guide requires real-world fuel. This project is entirely independent, built from the ground up, and sustained by the very people it serves.
Right now, we are navigating this path with very little traditional income. We refuse to compromise our message or rely on corporate sponsors who profit from the very insecurities we are trying to dismantle. That means our survival relies completely on you.
If this perspective provided you with a sense of relief, clarity, or a path forward, please consider standing with us to keep this work fierce, sustainable, and free for everyone who needs it.
Your support is not a charitable handout; it is a direct investment in a shared culture of dignity. Thank you for standing with us on this journey.
